Unkown Car

Unknown Car
By Anthony Gault

This is the car you bought
The one that you knew nothing about
Just that it looked nice
But now you’re in the car
And you realize that you don’t have a clue about it
You don’t know the how to drive it
You now realize that the promises were empty
And that you should have gone with the safe one
The one you knew
But no this one looked nicer
By now you have realized that you have to let it go
It hurts
But you have to learn more about it
So now it’s gone
And your relationship is over

Extend metaphor poem

The Paper
By Anthony Gault

here is the paper
it is blank, no deeds done
what shall it accomplish
what shall it do

will it start or end a feud
will it corrupt or purify
will it state serious facts
or romantic poems
i do not know
what shall it do

What shall I do?

Rulers

Rightful owners of all the lands
Under past and future
Laws which we make us
Expect our
Ruin to come yet we
Sit and wait

Night

Night
By Anthony Gault

Night has fallen
In all the lands
Goodness has left
Has run its time
Till dawn returns we are lost

SLEEP

Shut your eyes
Let yourself drift away
Expand and
Express your imaginative
Powers... but don’t forget to wake up

Acrostic

COMFORT

Come to me
Open my mind
My locked and tortured mind
Forever a captive
Often finding myself
Ruining my chances of succeeding
Trying to reach my final goal ... COMFORT

Today Is Poem

Today Is
Today is finding a quarter on the street
Today is ripping your zipper picking it up
Today is finishing a hard painting
Today is spilling coffee on that painting
Today is making a great Friend
Today they stab your back
Today is taking a good swim
Today the lightning strikes the lake
Today is lying in a soft bed
Today is not waking up
